I found some pictures that look like it still has the same lovely view today. Do you think the oval staircase is in there too? I did the virtual tours on the hotel's website but none of them showed any staircases, let alone that one. :)Beth Loves Bollywoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05540154833326987567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15977843.post-72997957485106105042012-04-14T06:08:23.906-05:002012-04-14T06:08:23.906-05:00This is truly an obscure film; I doubt if anyone w...This is truly an obscure film; I doubt if anyone would remember anything about it today, so congratulations on your discovery.
The hotel in the shot is the Oberoi, then known as the Oberoi Sheraton now called the Trident. Maybe the windup to me actually getting to watch this helped it - I owned it for about 3 weeks before I could finally get to a DVD player and have time to see it.Beth Loves Bollywoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05540154833326987567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15977843.post-82777593509796841172012-04-09T12:40:35.365-05:002012-04-09T12:40:35.365-05:00I think I had OD'd on OP Ralhan when I watched...I think I had OD'd on OP Ralhan when I watched this, because the plot got to me after a while. I also love that a 7-year diet of Hindi films can adjust my brain so much that I would hardly even bat an eye at buying a film because of a hat - even knowing that what is on the cover of a DVD may not be an accurate reflection of what's inside! (For example, I have several Shashi DVDs that have images on the covers of him in other films.)

Re: Nadira: her role here is very small but it is full of delights.Beth Loves Bollywoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05540154833326987567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15977843.post-35238115880944920472012-04-08T08:08:44.833-05:002012-04-08T08:08:44.833-05:00What I just said on Temple's sister post appli...What I just said on Temple's sister post applies just as well here: I love that Hindi movies offer a seemingly bottomless treasure put of this kind of stuff. LOVE IT. I want to see both of the films you two have reviewed here - hers for Amjad Khan, and yours for so many reasons, but that Nadira still is very high on the list.

carla (filmigeek)
http://filmigeek.netcarlahttp://filmigeek.netnoreply@blogger.com
