Cute! I had learned that bit of star family history and it makes watching their interactions even more fun.Beth Loves Bollywoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05540154833326987567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15977843.post-297756627791562572012-03-30T09:07:53.588-05:002012-03-30T09:07:53.588-05:00I remember this movie being shown on cable once an...I remember this movie being shown on cable once and laughing myself silly at the colours and the costumes. My parents were teens around this time, though, and had fond memories of it.

Also, maybe you know this, but - Krishna and Vijaya Nirmala were husband and wife by the time this movie was made. Mahesh Babu is their son, although really, there can be no doubt, he looks like a younger version of Krishna.

And the title is pronounced:
Mosagallaku mosagaadu
Moe – sah – gah – la – coo moe- sah-gah-doo

With the sah as in sum, gah as in garbage, and la as in larva.

Hope that helps!SSKhttp://coffee-clouds.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15977843.post-28512693806944315782011-05-11T22:10:59.564-05:002011-05-11T22:10:59.564-05:00Oh Lord, when I saw the wigs I didn't know the...Oh Lord, when I saw the wigs I didn't know they were just a pale preview for what was to come in the movie. This sounds amazing, I will have to get it eventually though it may require either a crowd of people to watch it with or massive quantities of wine :)

Love it! This led me into a wormhole of tracking photos down:
1975: http://bit.ly/j1Jj9i
1977: http://bit.ly/iXp34W
1979: http://bit.ly/iXp34W

I'd love to think that the Sears design team was inspired by the work of KSR Doss, though probably not. And I still covet those mustard-colored chaps.dustdevil lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03564737263775943203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15977843.post-41783683805821552462011-05-08T18:25:13.980-05:002011-05-08T18:25:13.980-05:00I just finished watching my rental, loved it and w...I just finished watching my rental, loved it and will have to buy it. A couple of thoughts:
-I don't think "pastel" does justice to the wonderful technicolor glow of some of the outfits. I kept expecting the Brady Bunch in their bell-bottoms and macrame vests to wander into some of the scenes.
-I need to get my hands on the background score. There were definitely references to Ennio Morricone's The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly score. I especially loved the jazzy tune that was playing in the final horse chase in the ravine.
-Hmm, you get points for calling them a "tribal group", but there really does need to be another name for filmi "Indians" in these cowboy movies. (Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam, a Tamil movie from 2010, has some particular vibrant examples.)
-loved your point about the camera angles, and how it emphasized certain character strengths. Also, I think KSR Doss must have been a "hip" man, based on all of the shots of the ladies.dustdevil lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03564737263775943203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15977843.post-39910863112984743152011-05-08T09:23:54.232-05:002011-05-08T09:23:54.232-05:00Nice screen grabs!
